Qualities of a Patriot
Most people adduce distinct virtues and achievements as the key stimuli to their devotion to their country. These qualities are often the pre-social basis of unity, formed by merging the interests and solidarity of nationals. Patriotism encompasses the political, cultural, and socioeconomic values with which people associate their identification. It follows, therefore, that a person’s patriotic tendencies can be evaluated based on their beliefs. A state’s principles can motivate citizens to endorse their country, while naturally expressing their attachment to its people, soil, and laws. Although patriotic attributes differ globally, most patriots exhibit attitudes of distinct affection, personal identification with, and the willingness to sacrifice for their country.
The principal characteristic of a patriot is having a special affinity with their state. An individual’s intrinsic patriotic concerns stem, in part, from the desire to sustain and enhance their nation’s achievement (Kapust, 2020). Patriotism is exemplified through its adherents’ awareness of their moral duties to their communities. Affection can
