People have different core values depending on their beliefs and goals in life. Nonetheless, as societal formations change with time, so do some of the issues that are considered important in society. Core values stem from a person's beliefs; however, while beliefs represent the convicts that individuals consider true, core values are seen as issues that people deem important to their existence. According to OECD (2019), the common core values in the 21st century are respect, fairness, personal and social responsibility, integrity, self-awareness, justice, and equity. These values enhance inclusivity, fairness, and sustainable development of societies.
