Introduction
Traditions and the culture of a given society make it unique and provide guidelines on the way of life of the people. The attributes of a society which describe its culture are continually passed from one generation to another. There is a great need for the culture of the society to be preserved for future generations so that the community does not lose its uniqueness. Beliefs in different society vary, and this shapes the varying cultures (Vannini & Williams, 2016). Debating over which culture is right and which one is wrong can cause a person to miss the point. This is because the cultures will remain to be unique in different ways. Globalization in the world today has made it possible for people to move across their borders to work and live in a different society. Society tends to have a different culture from whet an individual is used to. The principle of cultural relativism is demonstrated when people chose to adopt the foreign cultural practices that they consider to be admirable and acceptable (Shiraev & Levy, 2016). When they go back to their community of origin, they may share these practices with the other members of society. This has caused cultures to spread across the borders. The principle of cultural ethnocentric is demonstrated when people in the new society to reject the foreign cultural practices that they consider to be unacceptable (Shiraev & Levy, 2016). They may consider them to be unacceptable if they go against the cultural values of their society, or they seem to be violating human rights. This paper will focus on comparing the Arabic culture to the British culture and Chinese culture.
