Do Humans have Control Over Climate Change (Essay Sample)
THIS ESSAY WAS AN ARGUMENTATIVE ESSAY WRITTEN IN APA WRITING STYLE. this task was about arguing whether humans influence climate, AND IF HUMANS CAN REVERSE THE EFFECTS OF POLLUTION. SINCE I WAS THE WRITER OF THE ARGUMENTATIVE ESSAY, I WAS EXPECTED TO IDENTIFY MY POSITION IN THE ESSAY (SHOW WHETHER OR NOT HUMANS DO INFLUENCE CLIMATE CHANGE), AND DEFEND IT. at last, I WOULD DISCUSS WHETHER HUMANS can reverse the effects of pollution by explaining the strategies humans can undertake to reverse pollution.

Human Control over Climate Change
Introduction
The influence of human activities on climate change is inarguable: human activities like the burning of fossil fuels have been responsible for the increase of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Although there are still disagreements on this conclusion, renowned climate scientist Hausfather (2017) states that climate changes caused as a result of natural factors like solar activity and volcanoes most likely occur as a result of a slight cooling thus offsetting global warming that is a result of man's activities. 100% of climate changes are caused by humans, and we can still reverse this rate if we stop the activities that result in the emission of greenhouse gases in the earth’s atmosphere.
How Much Humans Control Climate
Human activities result in green gas emissions in the atmosphere. Notably, activities like deforestation result in the emission of gases into the atmosphere since the cut trees emit carbon they had been storing in the process. At the same time, industrial activities including the generation of hydroelectricity power, manufacturing, and heat caused by the burning of fossils like oil, and coal result in the emission of huge chunks of carbon gases into the earth's atmosphere (Hausfather, 2017). Unfortunately, humans carry out these activities daily, thus confirming that humans contribute greatly to climate change.
Can Humans Reverse the Effects of Pollution?
Yes. Humans are capable of reducing the effects of pollution (climate change) if they ceased their activities that result in the emission of greenhouse gases in the earth's atmosphere now (Herring, & Lindsey, 2020). Ultimately, temperatures would begin to plateau although they would remain high for centuries to come. There is always a time lag between when we take proactive decisions and when we come to enjoy the benefits of our decisions. Therefore, the decision to stop emitting greenhouse gases into the atmosphere if taken today would benefit o
