Ethics of Trophy Hunting
The idea of hunting animals to create a balance within the ecosystem has always elicited a lot of debates from people of all backgrounds. Trophy hunting is among the study areas that have received a lot of attention in literature over the last few years as scholars try to analyze the ethical challenges associated with the practice as well as the financial benefits arising from the practice (Batavia et al., 2018). By definition, trophy hunting is the practice of allowing an individual to kill an animal and keep part of or the entire carcass as a trophy at a fee (Batavia et al., 2018). Regardless of the benefits associated with this exercise, killing animals for entertainment is highly unethical.
