In a free world, every individual has the power to control his or her actions. An individual bears responsibility for his or her actions. Rational choice plays an essential role in free will because individuals must analyze the consequences of their actions, especially the adverse outcome (Rowe, 1987. When an individual exercises free will to make decisions, the results are up to him or her in a sense that; he or she is exposed to several alternatives, and he has to give up on all other options (Holbach, 1886). Individuals' outcome of free will is also up to them in the sense that they are the source of the outcome. Determinism contrast free will in the account that there is a cause behind every behavior, and it can be predicted.
