Introduction
In the daily nursing practice in the clinical setting, it is common to experience interpersonal conflicts arising among nurses. This mostly results from differences in ideas, values or beliefs. As a result of the nurse-nurse conflict, heated arguments may occur and if not solved it affects the role performance. Masters prepared nurse has a role to intervene in the early stages of the conflict before the situation gets out of hand. Proper observation and investigation of the dispute should be done to identify the cause and stage of the conflict. Thereafter, employment of de-escalation strategies should be done. Communication with the parties involved in the conflict should aim at achieving a win-win situation (McKihhen, 2017).
