Exploration of the universe has become a reality in contemporary society more than ever. Although the idea has attracted a fair share of controversies, governments have invested heavily in exploring the universe. Consequently, exploring the universe is necessary because it helps in protecting the earth while inventing new technologies.
In the modern world, exploring the universe is a necessity because it helps in protecting the earth. Notably, this is because exploring the universe helps in understanding how the earth operates, therefore, protecting it (Das, 2018). For instance, NASA’s earth science allows people to get knowledge on the complexity of the planet ("Why We Explore," 2020). Moreover, exploring planets such as Mars and Venus teach people how important the earth is because it provides various sobering examples of climate change. Recent research by NASA founded out that multiple scans of the sky examining dangerous steroids teaches people how to divert such asteroids in case of a collision in the future ("Why We Explore," 2020). Accordingly, exploring the universe is essential as it allows people to not only conserve its environment but also protect it from imminent collision by the asteroids.
