Global warming has been credited for a chain of climatic change patterns as well as eco-system changes worldwide. The continued warming of the earth’s surface has adversely affected the normal life patterns, directly and indirectly. Environmentalists project that should the high levels of carbon (IV) oxide in the atmosphere persist, then there would be high a sharp change in weather, soil quality, and life forms existing on this planet (Şen, 2018, p. 3). The constant emission of toxic gases and deforestation trends will primarily have far-reaching effects.
Negative Effects of Global Warming
The greatest impact of global warming has been the drastic change in weather patterns. Scientists have concluded that the continued rise in temperatures has fueled more severe droughts, extreme heatwaves, heavier rainfall, and more powerful tsunamis and hurricanes. Severe drought has set in numerous states, globally, leading to the death of all life forms. The most critical of all is the on-going drought in California. The sky-rocketing temperatures sometimes lead to wild and random fires (Suzuki, 2011, p. 3). Water and food shortages have thus been on the rise with rescue teams and health organizations seeking to help the afflicted.
