The world we are living in at the present times has become revolutionary, with every second being characterized with bombardments of ne inventions across the globe. One of these inventions is the media technology. Over the past few years, this media technology has greatly transformed our lives, offering us the freedom to undertake activities right from the comfort of our houses. For illustration purposes, media technology has eased communication, with a document taking a few second to reach its destination anywhere in the world as contrasted to the ordinary mail which used to take a couple of days (Davies & Eynon, 2013). A reflection of technology is all over our surroundings, the likes of televisions, cellphones, computers, the internet, personal digital assistants and online banking among many others.
This ever evolving technology has strongly been impacting on individual's life and more so the teenagers. Undeniably, teens are more predisposed to change and also have a tendency of being more impulsive than the adults. The internet has seen the greater percentage of teenagers have access to billions of websites containing information in an easy, cheap and fast manner. This has posed both positive and negative effects on the youths. With the advances in technology, the teens can gain self-discipline through online education (Davies & Eynon, 2013). They also can use the same media as a job search tool as well as for purposes of communication and online social networking.
