Art played an imperative part of Aztecs in the golden times of the Aztec empire. The Aztecs were known to be the original occupants of the current day Mexican land. They were characterized by their believe to in a large no of gods and goddesses who required some sacrifices. This article will explore the Aztec art while relating their foundation to sacrifices that they made.
While looking at the Aztecs art, one cannot fail to look at the influences that inspired their art work. Some of the threads that run through the history and played a part in perpetuating an artistic traditions include the Olmec, Toltec and Zapotec civilizations.
