Importance of Job Experience
Experience is crucial when it comes to recruiting of employees. It plays a key role in the practical development of the employee. The academic achievements equip a person with theoretical and analytical skills. However the practical skills required when doing the particular job can only be acquired by practicing the particular job. Experience is the only quality that assures the employer of the efficiency of the job candidate in question.
More so, experience helps an individual develop passion and interest in the particular field. This helps motivate the person to excel further in the job market. Work experience equips an individual with soft skills-skills that cannot be learnt in books but from day-to-day interactions with colleagues at the site of work. Such skills include cooperation and teamwork, discernment, communication skills, and field awareness. These help the individual to adapt easily to new work stations with time and help them work smoothly.
With the increased development in technology and rampant increase in societal vices, fake university/college degrees have come up. As a result there are many people out there with fake certificates which they present at job interviews. The only criteria to choose an employee from the list of candidates in an interview would be the work experience. Therefore having experience in the field of interest boost an individual’s chances of getting job offers and excelling in the particular field.[ Caryl Rae Krannich and Ronald L.
