The Effectiveness of Compensation on Staff Retention
Compensation is highly effective in retaining employees because most of them are motivated to stay for long in a company by adequate compensation. In an organization, workers are keen to analyze the extent of their financial benefits with regards to efforts put in undertaking duties (John and Teru, 2017). Once they perceive that they are well compensated, such stakeholders would feel minimal pressure to quit because they gain from working in the particular firm. Otherwise, they would be leaving to seek employment in the places where they can obtain pay that is commensurate to their input. Critically, it makes sense to behave in such a manner since it is psychological for one to charge accordingly for the services that he offers. The understanding that one earns desirable pay would make them enthusiastic to continue working because they get well compensated for their efforts (Johennesse and Chou, 2017). On the other hand, they could feel over utilized if the compensation is not worth their expectation. Therefore, it is upon the management to identify what constitutes a proper compensation for each job position to avoid the case of having less motivated workers. Moreover, personnel are the most integral part of a business because they make it possible to deliver goods and services to consumers
