2 Dimensional Artworks
Introduction
Two dimensional artworks are the compositions which possess only the two dimensions of length and width (Wong). These two dimensional arts and designs include prints, paintings, and drawings. These two dimensional arts are defined by the variety of shapes, color, texture, and space among other things. There are various re-known artists who used these artistic designs to come up with their drawings. Although there are many two dimensional art works by various artists, I will focus on my top ten art designs and the description of why I value them.
The Image of St. Jerome and Virgins of the Rocks
The first two art works that are very important to me are the St. Jerome in the wilderness painting and the virgins of the rocks by Leornado da Vinci (Nicholl). The first art design is an image of St. Jerome while the other is the image of Mary and the family of Jesus. These paintings are very important in my personal life as they depict religious and spiritual believes. The artworks were very essential in development of Christianity in the middle centuries. These art works have been the center of exhibitions in various museums which shows their importance. The art works show the works of charity and the image of chastity which are very essential in our lives and hence the reason why they have been significant.
The Portrait of Dalou and the Calvary
The other two portraits of two dimensional art works that are very crucial to me are the portrait of Dalou and the Calvary that were designed by Alphonse Legros (Vasari, Giorgio, Bondanella& Peter). These two arts depict the images of loyalty to the leadership and authority. The presentations were very pronounced in the major museums for the two artistic works. The images have not only been special two dimensional arts but also motivating. The Calvary image shows people in prayer mood which depict the attitude of salvation and loyalty. The images are also illustrative of the artistic works and triggers creativity. The portrait of Dalou shows a decisive attitude in rejection of all the forms of oppression which is very likely from the authorities. This has been a source of inspiration bearing in mind that even though the art works were rejected at first, they emerged to be among the most attractive exhibitions in museums.
The Last Supper and Annunciation Portraits
The other two important designs are the last supper and the annunciation by Giorgio Vasari. These two paints have a great significance in my spiritual life. The two paints depict the story of Jesus (Wong). While the annunciation shows the passage of the message by the angel to Mary about the birth of Jesus, the other image shows the departure of Jesus symbolized by the last supper. The two images depict a lot of humility for both Mary and Jesus. This is the good example of how the human beings should live. The images have been very significant in my personal life especially in molding my behaviors and the personal character. The images also seem to depict love which is a very important aspect of life. This has been fundamental to me and hence to art works have been part of my top ten.
The Seer and the Great Metaphysic
The seer and the great metaphysic interior have also been very important 2 dimensional art works to me. The two artistic designs were among the many works of Giorgio de Chirico that were very popular (Wong). These artworks and designs depict the great aspirations. The seer is an image which shows the future aspirations of an individual. On the other hand, the great metaphysic interior shows great aspirations of developed houses for the dwelling places. These two images depict a very important aspect of human life of future dreams and the importance of the living places. This helps me to anticipate better life and work hard to achieve this.
