Communication and Career Success
Communication concepts are vital in the workplace and the advancement of one’s profession. Effective workplace communication contributes to better relationships between staff, clients, and other stakeholders such as regulatory authorities. There are numerous ways to apply the communication concepts learned in my future career and the organizations. Both verbal and nonverbal communication skills are essential for career success in many ways explained below.
First, effective communication concepts will help me succeed in specific workplace tasks such as customer care, sales, and public relations. Customers are the main reason businesses exist, and effective communication with customers positively impacts their image and financial performance. My performance in this position would lead to higher pay or promotions hence career success. Secondly, I would develop and maintain better human relationships with fellow staff, management, and potential partners. Relationships create social capital and important professional connections that may assist me in future careers and business.
