Everyone fails at some point in their lives, and it is unavoidable. When I failed at the drama competition, I learned that it is important to be humble and not get too worked up about failing. I have been a struggler from the start the more I failed, the more I needed to try again. Sometimes, people have a hard time cultivating the traits they need to do well at something and I am one of them. It has been hard for me to succeed in poetry and I’ve had a hard time with it since childhood. My experience with the competition was not good. I had to wait eight months before I could finally get my award, and I learned that failing is not the end of the world. If you're a strong person, then you can use it to your advantage and move forward. It's not always about winning; nobody wins at everything. (Ellis et al.690)
