For a long time, sports and games have been viewed as an easy and efficient way to stay fit and healthy. In high schools, sports are as important as academic subjects and should not be sacrificed because they make students more disciplined, confident and responsible. In addition, exercises regulate blood flow in the body and help enhance memory, stimulate creativity and develop problem-solving skills (Nelson, 2014).
Sports and games can bring students together, create a sense of community, and help them become responsible citizens of tomorrow. Another benefit of school-based sports classes is that they keep students physically and mentally active. Sometimes the high school students get less involved in activities like brisk walk and yoga, but they love attending sports classes on a regular basis. Thus, it is the duty of parents, school administrators, and teachers to arrange something exciting for pupils every day. With budget cuts across the board in various high schools, administrators and teachers need to take the right decisions for the short-term and long-term well-being of students (Nelson, 2014).
