The University of Chicago has international campus centers around the world, but not in Africa. UChicago is set to establish a campus in Cape Town, South Africa. The campus will offer exciting and innovative academic programs, conferences, and public lectures. It will be an academic home for students and faculty as well as alumni, visiting scholars, and the public. It will be a center for exchange, dialogue, and collaboration that extends Africa’s connection to institutions of excellence worldwide. Its location in South Africa exposes the students to local customs, languages and offers students the opportunity to explore a country’s rich cultural, political, and archeological history.
UChicago was 10th in World Reputation Ranking 2019. It is an academic institution committed to a free and open inquiry that draws inspired scholars and where ideas that challenge and change the world are born. At UChicago, the fearless pursuit of truth comes to live.
