Question one
Finding a way of leveraging visual memory. Basically, this will enable the remembrance of most information learned. For instance, by picking out a visual character when learning new things this can be used as a tool for memorizing. Such a strategy can be helpful in course by picking out important things and creating a picture in the mind on how to remember them.
Creation of a mental memory tree. Essentially, when trying to memorize a huge chunk of facts they can be arranged in the brain by choosing a memory order of the provided information. Ideally, construction of a big tree with branches and leaves attached to it will enable the spread of information. Such a tree will ease learning by organizing facts in a logical way from complex to simplest ones (Lickerman).
Question two.
Perception is the process of organizing and interpreting information so that there is a meaningful recognition of things and objects. Perceptual set helps people functions as a lens on how they perceive the world. Learned concepts help organize and interpret difficult ideas. The physical and emotional contexts and motivations can increase expectations and improve interpretations of behavior and outcomes
When a person has high expectations for example about getting admission to a college they will have high perceptions about the institution. In addition, they will develop an emotional attachment to it and this will even create a more zeal to join. Motivations about the possibility of being enrolled give them a high expectation about the college (Romans, 24).
Question three
The cognitive process involves producing and understanding linguistics communication with an aim of solving problems, decision making, comprehension and production of language. On the other hand, classical conditioning helps learners link two or more stimuli and anticipate events. The process helps combination of uncontrolled stimulus and uncontrolled reaction together with neutral stimulus hence coming up with a controlled stimulus.
The operant condition is associated with behavior and environmental factors that will produce a negative or positive stimulus. However, with the aid of cognitive process, the organisms will develop expectations that a response will be enforced therefore, they will experience latent learning without reinforcement or use of punishment (Baird, & McCarthy, 32).
Question four
Humans acquire language right from birth. Basically, during the first three years of life, the brain starts to develop and mature while at the same time gaining knowledge on how information is passed through speaking. Furthermore, this appears to be a critical period for language and speech since the brain is best able to absorb language.
The first milestone in language development begins when an infant understands that crying will bring food, comfort, and companionship. Recognition of new sounds in the environment then follows, for instance, the voice of the mother or caretaker. When they reach 6 months they have a knowledge of sounds from the native language. There is, however, a variation in language development but they all follow a natural progression timetable in language master. In certain instances, there is slow mastery of language due to loss of hearing and other childhood factors like speech disorder (Cherry).
