It is the 21st Century, However, Women are Still Discriminated in the Workforce
So much is being done to ensure that women are empowered. Forums and activism/feminism groups are advocating for equality of both genders. It is however a sad state of affairs as women are still being discriminated against even in the workforce. It is not uncommon for a woman to apply for a job that is considered “a man’s job” and get dismissed even before she can show her competence. In the past women were considered inferior to men. The role of women was to stay at home and take care of the family. Women were not allowed to even own property. It was unheard of for a woman to be a Manager or get any managerial position in any organization.
Unfortunately, there are also women who discriminate against fellow women in the corporate world. One would assume that women would support each other and stand with one another. Today women are going to school unlike in the past and they are getting skills on courses that were formerly thought to be male skills. Womanhood is one of the most beautiful things in this world.
