Abortions
Abortion is the termination of a pregnancy before the baby is fully developed (Al Jazeera). It is a highly controversial topic with differing opinions where a significant number of people argue for and another against it. Unlike in the old days when unqualified practitioners took it upon themselves to attempt and perform the practice, which often led to loss of the life of the mother. Most abortions in the modern world are carried out by professionals in hospitals. There are many reasons that can lead to a pregnant woman deciding to undergo aborrion. These can either be medical or non-medical.
Medical reasons include a case where the baby dies in the mother's womb, and it becomes necessary to surgically terminate the pregnancy (Al Jazeera). If the baby remains in the woman's womb, her health can be affected. Death of the pregnant mother can even result. In case the foetus is implanted in the ovarian tubes, the practice is also allowed as the conception can cause health complications for the mother.I believe that It is only after efforts to save both the baby and the mother have failed that it should be aborted.
