Effects of Animated Shows Like Cartoons on the Psyche of a Toddler
The booming stage of technology and electronic media has undoubtedly changed the way children perceive entertainment, particularly in modern social settings. In this regard, most children are persuaded to watch animated shows, such as cartoons, more than ever. Notably, this maximum exposure to comics affects the psyche and development stages of children both positively and negatively. Accordingly, some children are forced to adapt to disturbed characteristics, misleading attitudes, and mannerisms as those of cartoon characters. Consequently, this paper will discuss the way animated shows affect the toddler's psyche in modern society.
Firstly, socially positive built cartoons are likely to enhance a child's psychological development. According to Michigan University's research, close to 71 percent of children's rooms have TV, while 2 to about five-year-old children spend about 32 hours watching TV weekly (Habib and Tarek). Notably, this means that most children are likely to be influenced by such TV shows more than any activities they perform.
