The excerpt from Brokeback Mountain gives an exciting glimpse of the life of Jack Twist and June Ennis. The two have known each other for the longest time possible, and the excerpt comes after four years of not seeing each other. Two men’s conversation gives a clear view of how they have related to each other and the things that have happened over time in their lives. On the other hand, “A Texan Who Likes to Deflate The Legends of the Golden West,” is a narrative by Rothstein that gives an account of the main character. From this document, one can deduce many issues surrounding the concerns from the narrator and their view on various people. Comparing the two documents reveals various critical issues that seem to be affecting the characters involved in them.
