Dealing With High School Troublemaker Students
High school teaching is embedded in the young amenable brains thirsting for knowledge and new ideas. Unfortunately, such students are in most cases hindered by few constant troublemakers who cause havoc, unrest and troubles in classrooms. They tend to disrespect authorities as well as other students. Such behaviors affect academic achievement in classrooms as well as in the school. To reduce or even to completely curb this menace affecting public high schools, several remedies should be considered as discussed below.
It is important for school authority to investigate the root problem of the misbehavior by setting aside a session to discuss and talk with students who constantly cause troubles. The act of rebuking and reprimanding the troublemakers without an idea of what they are going through may escalate the problem. Through this, the authority will get to know the student better. Some problems may even have originated from home as the results of loss of a family member, stress or even depression. In addition to that, the troublemakers may even be fighting a problem that is huge for them to handle (Osae pg 1).
