Every end of the month, two of my friends and I always get together at either one our homes and spend an excellent time together. This month, it’s my turn to host, and I surely want to make a good impression. I plan to amaze them with a three-course dinner, and funny enough, they all have to participate in the cooking. My three-course dinner shall be made of Caesar salad, spaghetti with meatballs, and apple pie. Having a big kitchen, I’m sure that Hugh, Julie, and I shall comfortably work together. My plan is simple, each and every one of us shall handle a particular dish. However, Hugh and Julie shall have to follow my instructions since it is my kitchen and I'm the chef. Hug shall prepare Caesar salad, and it shall be done according to my recipe; wash the ½ head romaine lettuce that I shall provide him with and tear it into bite-size pieces, carefully grate parmesan cheese, add it to the lettuce, and gently toss to mix them, top the mixture with croutons, then add anchovies on top as a tasty addition. The entire process should take no more than 25 minutes. Julie shall have to prepare spaghetti with meatballs and despite being a lady, shall also have to follow my directions; she has to set a pot of salty water to boil, and in a different bowl she should combine 1 teaspoon of salt, parsley, garlic, egg, parmesan, and one teaspoon of pepper. To the mixture, she should add breadcrumbs and beef, mix them together and form 16 balls. In the heavy pot, she should heat olive oil and gently place the balls, turning them until they turn brown. Then add tomatoes to the balls and bring them to boil and to cover them patiently until they are well cooked, it should take around 45 minutes. Meanwhile, she should be cooking the spaghetti in the large pot of salted water until they are all dented. Drain the water and add the meatballs then toss the content to mix until it is ready for serving. On the other hand, I shall prepare the apple pie. I shall start by making the dough. In a medium sized bowl, I shall mix together flour, sugar, and salt. I shall then work butter into the dry ingredients using my finger until the color changes to yellow. After the color has changed, I shall add eggs to the bowl and use my hands to stir constantly adding a little bit of water to make sure that the dough is not dry. After that, I shall place the dough in the food processor until all the sugar, flour, and salt are properly mixed. Remove the dough from the machine then bring the dough together using my hands and form the dough into a disk and place it into a plastic before putting it into the freezer.
