Truth, as contextualized by Barbara, is the accurate representation of facts without exaggeration or understatement. As the historian finds out, truth is a collection of many small scenes captured and kept by different people. The pieces have to be brought together to obtain one exact image which can be shaken, disturbed and its clarity is lost again. The truth is separate and subjective (Tuchman 1962, 96).The black death caused panic and people were drawing possibilities out of speculation maybe because the people of that time had no technology and medical competency to make reasonable hypothesis but there was no way flies could cross the sea to North Africa in such a short time. The development of vaccines has probably prevented uncountable risks of the spread of known diseases. A thousand years ago may mean a thousand years back in everything in healthcare technology today. So this world is left to God’s mercy of natural disasters like storms and climatic changes and not a plagu...
