Service organization refers to an organization whose main concern is based on the general welfare of its members and that of the community, for example, the health service organizations. These organizations can be analyzed under the following areas;
Governance responsibility
In respect to the governance of organization of services, social services corners within their operation are one of their key objectives. They contain management framework that is aimed at giving strength and accountability in their management levels. These management levels include, regional local, and central levels (Funk). Most of these organizations of service are internationally based meaning that they offer their services to all parts of the world, for example, WHO. The goals and objective of such organizations seeks to improve the well being of people in the society, through the reduction of possible risks at all levels of their operations. For example, WHO seeks to promote the health lifestyle in all levels of health all over the world. Another important thing to note on the objective of these organizations is that they have gender integrated, as well as, age susceptible approaches aimed at facilitating community empowerment together.
In the central level a service organization comes up with policies that are based within their principle area of operation, for example health, IT among others (Saraceno, and Soumitra Pathare). However, with an aim of these organizations serving their clients or the society their actions are centered on basic errands such as funding, and distribution of financial resource.
The organizations also operate within the regional level where the social service agencies from these organizations are able to coordinate and come up with supportive services for communities in their respective territories. In particular, this means that the policies they come up with at these level facilities in the management and deployment of networks locally. They also ensure that budgets of the help funds they provide are allocated to relevant community organizations. The agencies in the regional levels should also make sure that local populations take part in the services management and provision for those services.
At the local level, organization of services and especially in the health and social services network are able to bring together major partners together with an aim of achieving a set goal. This is important strategy as it helps these organizations to share responsibility collectively among a population of an operational area (Funk). The health and social service organizations forms the basis of an integrated service provision ensuring that there is accessibility coordination and management of services for a certain population.
