According to the two poems given out, namely, "When White Poets Pretend to Be Asian" by Hua Hsu. "What a Fraternity Hazing Death Revealed About the Painful Search for an Asian-American Identity" by Jay Caspian Kang. Both authors have one thing in common, the treatment of Asian America in general through discrimination, violence and reject by the American in the United States. We note that the Asian Americans are mainly immigrants that made their way in America to make a living. Most of Asian America came to America to study in universities. However, it was tough for them to look at the university due to cases of death of their race. They were brought about by neglect of their race and the failure to recognize them as other citizens. We note that most Asian Americans walked and stayed together and avoided the other races. The universities in which the Asian Americans studied neglected fellow Asians and made quotas to limit the number of Asians joining the universities (Kang 13). In the overall context of the two poems, Asian America people faced several difficulties thriving in America. We also notice cases of deaths of Asian Americans. Also, told about the struggle and the problems that bounded the Asians upon migrating to America.
