Privatization of state- run prison
Prison privatization is a business contract where the government gives a private business to operate a branch of the prison. This paper will compare private prisons and state run prisons. It will, therefore, give opinion on private confinement and state-run confinement. It will also explain the reason for the opinion taken.
One would rather be confined in a state- run prison than a private prison. This is because private prisons tend to take advantage of the inmates especially since they have authority over the inmates (Brian, pp. 34). They may use the inmates in an unfair way that they may provide cheap labor force in an unconducive environment to earn more profit.
