Effects of High-Fructose Corn Syrup Use on Food Products
This substance is a liquid sweetener that adds sweetness to some food and products sold in the market. Some of the reasons as to why the food manufacturing companies have continued to use this substance in food production are because of being the cheapest food sweetener. Because of lack of its moderation in usage, it has become dangerous and harmful. Its excessive usage has led to rising of different harmful effects including diseases. They use it in excess simply because they have realized that the sweeter the products, the more the sales.
Notably, the government has continued to subsidize this substance’s production to that point in which it has been produced in excess.
