NOTE: to receive credit for this concept you must also include the textbook page # or section # as shown in the example. A minimum of two textbook references required.

4) Illustrate – you may use a picture from the Internet or your textbook, you may also use a photo you have taken to illustrate the concept.
Example (290 words): Remember I want each SEEI concept to be a separate paragraph.
Title: Chapter 1 - Assess Your Wellness
State: The assessment scores my personal risk factors for each of the 7 Domains of Wellness.
Elaborate: I scored low in the physical dimension. As I have aged, I have not made nutrition and exercise a priority resulting in a low score on the Physical dimension. My cholesterol and blood glucose levels have steadily increased over the years. Part of this is due to my family history and part of this increase is due to my lack of emphasis on the physical dimension.
Exemplify: I learned in chapter 1 that only 2 percent of deaths in the US are purely genetic in nature (White 15/section 1.1). I can’t control or change my genetics, but I can influence my health and longevity if I focus on the physical, emotional, social, intellectual, spiritual, occupational, and environmental dimensions of wellness (White 21/section 1.2). One thing that I found interesting in chapter 1 was that our medical system focuses on treating rather than preventing disease (White 28/section 1.3). How is it that the US spends more on health care than any other nation yet people in other nations live longer and have better health than us? Section 1.3 provides 10 lifestyle habits that can lead to a long and robust life (White 34/section 1.3). After reviewing these I have selected 3 that I need to target; eating better, engaging in physical activity every day, and managing my weight. For example, at each meal making sure half my plate is fruit and vegetables and avoiding highly processed foods are two habit I will adopt.
Illustrate: I will build my meals around the 5 food groups that focus on ½ the plate containing fruits and vegetables with small servings from the grain, protein and dairy groups.

How Can You Conserve Water?
Although water covers about 70 percent of our planet, only 2.5 percent of it is freshwater, including the water contained underground, in glaciers, ice caps, lakes, rivers, and in the atmosphere. Several regions around the world are already facing water shortages and conservation of the precious resource is increasingly necessary. The purpose of this paper is to determine the various ways we can conserve freshwater as a finite resource.
One way to conserve water is by recycling it using treatment technologies that remove the chemical and biological pollutants to make the water fit for irrigating crops, meeting domestic needs, and replenishing groundwater aquifers. Another way of conserving water is by capturing and recycling gray water (used water from bathing, dishwashing, and laundry) to irrigate outdoor areas instead of drinkable water (White, 2019). One effective way of conserving freshwater is by enforcing mandatory reductions to lower urban water usage such as limiting lawn watering and implementing tiered water rate configurations that raise cost per gallon of water used.
The latter will provide a reason for homeowners to fix more water efficient plumbing fixtures along with drought-resistant landscaping. Such conservation regulations have been shown to be effective at reducing urban water consumption by up to 22.5 percent: cumulative water savings from such directives between June 2015 and February 2017 reached up to 2.6 million acre-feet of water, which is roughly the amount of water needed by 13 million residents for one year. Using gray water for irrigation instead of drinking water can save enough water annually for upwards of 60,000 families (White, 2019).
At the individual level some ways of conserving water include avoiding leaving the taps running, promptly fixing leaky faucets, showering instead of bathing, in
