The political and legal promulgate that marked conflict for Georgia as a representative of the United States comprise its anti-slavery legislation and the illumination of the state against federal influence in the US structure.
The legislation that Georgia intended to eradicate the slave exchange culminated in constitutional promulgates that rattles its situation as a representative of the US in the 1850s. Throughout this time, there were growing concerns regarding captivity and the slave trade. According to Fraser, the interests formed tensions across the state (30). Georgia prepared the legislation to ban the slave trade and dismissed to give the United States Congress an option to change them (Fraser 20). The state did not desire the US Congress to interfere in its legislation and deal with practices with other nations.
Furthermore, the state incensed other states to curb the slave business. Georgia also set up bitter penalties for individuals facilitating the slave commerce. The legislation anticipated at either imprisoning or fining people aiding slave escape. By that, the state became conformity exemplary for other nations that wanted to ban the slave contract. However, the move generated intense political pressure in Georgia, indicating controversy for the state as a representative of the United States.
