Social change can be referred to as restructuring the culture, norms, values systems, technology, social, political, and economic organizations of people over time. Considering the historiography on social change, different historians have argued differently concerning how social change has impacted human lives differently across the globe.
Professor Christopher Chase-Dunn argues that some social changes have brought new problems instead of solutions. Aspects of social change, especially those connected to technology, have increased in recent centuries and have produced new problems. People need to resist change, adopt new energy, and spend much time finding amicable solutions. According to Dun, social change ought to analyze in the context of a single, globe- spanning world system. The social unit's population and unique scale in which population size is embedded have increased over time (Dunn & Babones, 20016). . Chunn further urges that today's unprecedented large-scale social changes have resulted in problems that social sociologist Max Weber, Karl Marx, and Emile Durkheim never imagined.
