right555117000Golda Meir was a famous and superior principal, a character that most people wanted to emulate. She was a woman of substance and stood firm for she believed was right (Chin, et. 565–581). Golda Meir was a pioneer in women's leadership. She was among the women initiators in holding a leadership post in her country, representing peace and an influential leader to preside over the country. By her strong standards of belief, she was referred to as an 'Iron lady.' Irrespective of all that she did, her efforts have not been acknowledged by many in her country. They found her unpleasant, her deed in helping found the nation, and her wise, unselfish management while serving her people, and it's widely underrated. To many across the globe, she will forever remain to be their heroine.
Background Information
Golda Meir was born in Kyiv, Russian Empire, to a low-income family; a few years later, her family migrated to the United States of America while still a child (Atkins et.,9). She grew up there, learned their education system while at the same time doing part-time jobs to cater to her needs, and later qualified to become a teacher. After settling in marriage, the couple shifted to then Palestine in 1921, residing in Kibbutz. This action was by order of the British colony. After several years in Palestine's land, Israel's nation was born. She partakes a massive role in Israel formation by sacrificing her personal goals and putting the Jews' ambitions ahead. Golda Meir was among the twenty-five signers that resulted in the birth of Israel. When things settled, she and her family ended up on Israel's side. By that time, she was already widely known, and her qualities gathered from her immigration history lead her into Israel politics. Before becoming the first and only woman prime minister of Israel, she served under different posts starting in her party, the Zionist labor organization, where she held various positions (Katav et al., NP). Golder Meir grew from party politics to serving as an Israel ambassador to the Soviet Union, Minister of Labour, and later escalated to a foreign minister's powerful ministry. Her performance in the government was excellent to the extent of being referred to as the best man in government by minister David Ben-Gurion. Many. Many used her gracious old age to refer to her as the tough-willed, outspoken, candid, honest, grey-bunned grandmother of the Jewish people.
