The American Revolution was Radical as through Radicalization
The American Revolution was radical as through radicalization, as there were social changes in terms of relationships that bound people to one another (Wood, 115). Radicalization means changing political systems or social principles through structural change, radical reforms, social change, or revolution. The American armed force comprised French specialists, who served for a month then came back to their homesteads. French used to supply Americans with driving officers to make barricades, but many were killed during the Revolutionary.
There is a relationship between the English Republican revolutionaries of the 17th century and American revolutionaries in liberty and natural rights. There were radicalization activities against the British that led to the American victory. Zealots and fanatics led the revolution against easy adjustment of the existing system and siren call of compromise. Various tactics used included harassment, cutting down supplies, surprise, mobility, and guerilla warfare that led to the enemy's encirclement. The war broadened the base for accessing civil rights and later led to developing an open and free society. People would enjoy liberty, life, and pursuit of happiness regardless of gender, religion, social class, or race (Brewer).
The revolution also led to a transformation in trade policies and American culture. American changed from a primitive culture to embracing knowledge, truth, and history. There was also improvement in North America's economic landscape due to abolishing tax and trade policies set by Britain. People began trade partnerships and farming in their lands which were previously owned by their colonies.
