The Compromise of 1850
The Compromise of 1850 drafted by Senator Henry Clay of Kentucky was passed in 1850 by the United States congress making a lot of impact on several states of America. The Compromise which was made up of five separate bills was aimed at confronting slave and free states on the issue of territories acquired during the Mexican-American War of 1846 to 1848 (Maizlish, p. 109). One of the most affected states was Georgia given the high level of unrest in the country regarding the same issue. It is important to discuss these issues, which were both political and constitutional in order to understand the source of unrest for Georgia as a member of the United State.
