The Internet can be described as a vast interconnection or network of devices allowing communication and information storage. The Internet greatly impacts society in how people communicate and interact globally.
It is clear that the Internet's primary benefit is allowing the global interlinking of people. In this era, devices such as computers and mobile phones are in plenty with numerous uses. Accessing the Internet is free with such devices. So, the Internet is a networking platform where you can access and communicate with others with just an electronic device. The interesting fact about the Internet is that it allows a person in the eastern part to communicate with another in the southern part of the world.
Before the Internet's rise, no innovation enabled individuals to spread and allow for the democratization of information and knowledge than Gutenberg's printing press (Michael 886). No one could merely reach the other without writing to them. It made people have a hard time expressing their concerns to many audiences. So, a minimal number of people were able to access such a form of communication. As a result, this posed a challenge to enable innovators and inventors to fall for wireless technology. Hence, the Internet arrived as a communication model.
With the development of the Internet, things have become easier and better. First, while the printing press had delays in conveying communication messages, the Internet wrapped that entirely by reaching almost everyone globally within a few moments. It has made it easier for people to share ideas, and more older adults with such wisdom conveniently increase the innovation and information delivery rate.
