Constitutional issues voters should be aware of in the upcoming elections in Canada
Canada is a federal parliamentary democracy where the head of state in monarch is determined by heredity. On the other hand, the members of parliament are elected by the republic who then determines who the sitting prime minister will be. What substantiates who becomes the prime minister or not is the number of seats a party gets in parliament (Bean, 153). This means that the one who serves as the head of executive power and becomes the head of government is the leader whose party has more seats (Braun, 201). Canadian federal elections are held after every four years usually conducted by a nonpartisan agency called the election Canada and is the same body responsible for conducting by-elections as well as referendums.
