Leadership Qualities
A leader is someone who can see what needs to be done better and can mobilize people to move towards that common goal. Every leader has a different set of strengths and capabilities that make him the kind of leader that he is. However, there are a number of common leadership qualities that every leader must have to be a successful leader. This paper will explain some of those leadership qualities.
1 Character:- As a leader, having character means that you make choices based on your values even if those choices have negative consequences (Maxwell, 19). It means not having to compromise on your values as a leader. People will willingly follow a leader who shows integrity in what they do. Integrity means doing what you say you will do, how you say you will do it, and when you say you will do it.
2 Communication:- A great leader knows how to communicate with people. As a leader, you should be able to break down complex messages so that everyone in the organization can understand. When everyone in an organization understands what is being communicated, it becomes easier for the people to coordinate to work towards the common organizational goals, thus leading to organizational success.
3 Problem-solving:- Good leadership requires you to be good at solving problems. This means that as a leader you have to be a quick thinker to come up with solutions to problems in your organization. People respect a leader who can come up with fast solutions to organizational problems.
