The notion that dress codes formulate and establish the attitude and perception towards a particular profession is in its entirety factual and with basis. As a consequence, appropriate dress codes are paramount in the formulation and maintenance of a positive corporate image hence an increased competitive advantage for the firm. Dress codes vary from formal, casual to semi-formal all of which empower employees to perform different roles in an organization. Prudence and logic therefore, dictates that organizations permit relaxed dress codes taking into account the role and environment in which employees execute their obligatory and essential duties. The freedom to dawn cloths of their preference by employees comes with numerous merits in regards to the efficacy and productivity of the employee deduced from the comfort that comes with individually selected dress codes (Adomaitis and Johnson 94).Another benefit worth mentioning is the individuality that relaxed dress codes installs within an organizations workforce. Employees get to experience their uniqueness and peculiarity and consequently enjoy working for an organization.
