Rotterdam and in part Amsterdam are known to be the exhibitive centers that manifest or rather exude the creativity that spectacularly underpins the innovativeness and inventive capacity of the Dutch architectural thinking of different historical periods. The fact that these cities have increasingly become the exposition for manifesting the aesthetic value of certain architectural designs known to physically represent a time’s particular school of architectural thought is, without doubt, a well-founded assertion as evinced in historical realities that continue to dominate contemporary architecture. This argument is given vindication by Capello (93) who in conceptualizing the conceptual foundations of architectural representations in cities in the Netherlands, intimates that Amsterdam and Rotterdam cities since the heyday of the Dutch Golden Age of the 17th century have consistently represented the political and economic life of Dutch culture.
