Gender Inequality Social Sciences Essay Research Paper (Essay Sample)
The sociological imagination asks one to establish the relationship between personal, lived experiences and
broader social structure. In this paper, you are asked to establish the relationship between lived experience
and social structure by both conducting your own empirical research in an interview and examining current
research on your chosen topic. Students are to select a topic below and interview a cisgender or transgender
male or female, or alternate gender identity (gender-fluid, gender-queer, non-conforming, etc.) person.
This assignment invites you to be creative, so you have the intellectual freedom to design a research
question of your choosing. For example, if choosing “gender dynamics in the family,” the student may wish
to posit a research question which asks, “How do married men and women divide housework?” The research
question should both guide the interview you conduct, as well as the pre-existing literature you research.

Inequity at Workplace Based on Gender
Introduction
There is a perception that; increasing community knowledge of transgender persons, and others under the LGBTQ umbrella promises substantial opportunities for the group. However, reality proves existence of a vast inequality gap between the opportunities that various societal spheres offer the population and the binary persons. The minimal opportunities and broadening coverage of transgender individuals result from misinformation which the broadcasting carries, which fails to co-relate to reality (Davidson 1). The employment sector bears one of the furthest reaching dissimilarity regarding its treatment of transgender employees. Just as in other spheres, females remain at the most considerable disadvantage as transgender women are subject to more discrimination compared to transgender male. Gaining the scope of the issue from transgender persons would be a critical contribution to the body of existing literature.
