Instructions:

Instructions: The Graded Draft will be written as an essay and will serve as the basis for the final essay that you turn in on the last day of class. While the final essay will be 5-7 pages in length (not counting images or the Works Cited page), for the Graded Draft I am requesting that you submit at least TWO FULL PAGES OF TEXT. You can submit more if you like.
Set your paper up in proper MLA format, and include a Works Cited and an updated PCL.
Be sure to take into consideration feedback that you have received from me or your classmates on any of the steps (proposal; bibliography, Infographic).
You can write the first two pages (or more) of your essay, but if you are writing a part in the middle, or if you are skipping parts of the essay, please signal that in the text.
For example:
You write the introduction and thesis.
The next part will be a counterargument, but you haven’t written that yet. So instead, write in your essay:
The counterargument goes here.
Or if you are not satisfied/finished with a section of your draft, write a note like:
I need to discuss this quote more. OR I need to provide more evidence for this claim.
Do the same thing for the parts at the end of the essay that you haven’t written yet. For example:
I still need to write about the consequences of this next. Then after that I need to put the conclusion.
I DO NOT HAVE AN EXAMPLE FOR YOU BECAUSE EACH OF YOUR DRAFTS WILL BE INDIVIDUAL.
Just write as much of the draft as you can before it’s due and tell me which parts you still have to write.
The essay is on the SAME TOPIC THAT YOU HAVE BEEN WORKING ON SINCE THE PROPOSAL.
Worth 5% of your course grade.

As such, children easily associate the roles from the films with real life. Again, since the films are introduced during early childhood, they will have a greater impact on children's perception and understanding. Notably, 'The Lion King makes clear gender statements and display distinct roles among men and women. This essay will discuss the impact of 'The Lion King' on children's perceptions and understanding of gender roles.
The Disney film 'The Lion King' portrays different stereotypical gender roles. For instance, female lions are featured as helpless in the absence of males. By so doing, boys will believe that they are supreme to girls and perceive males as the dominant gender (Kalinic). For instance, after Mufasa passed on and his son Simba went into exile, Mufasa's wife did not have an opportunity to lead the other Lions.
