The NPS is responsible for caring for all the national parks within the United States (US) CITATION Nat18 \l 2057 (National Park Service). Therefore, the Department of Interior manages the National Park Service (NPS) which in turn controls the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and all other parks in the country. This park has several interesting features which are welcoming to visitors. The park is situated in a cold part of the continent which makes most of its surface to be covered by ice and glaciers. Furthermore, it is the largest national park in the US covering an area of approximately 20,587 square milesCITATION Deu15 \p 1 \l 2057 (Deur, Thornton and Lahoff 1). The park also contains the country’s records in several glacial features. For instance, it encompasses the nation’s largest glacial system which melts during summer to increase the rivers’ high runoff and heavy sediment. After this designation, its management was placed under the National Park Service. The park has several geological features.
