The cause of Children-Parents Misunderstanding on Life
In the usual parent-child cooperative interaction, freedom of expression is often served by greater inter-subject understanding. As with parents’ views, children’s ideas also matter since they enjoy high levels of autonomy. Occasionally, children’s opinions play second fiddle to their parents’ due to a lack of mutual inter-subject understanding. This notion may obscure rather than illuminate the quality of a child-parent relationship. Several reasons are attributed to the parents and children standing in opposition to one another during conversations, including a lack of common knowledge and different anxieties.
One cause for misunderstanding between parents and children is the lack of mutual knowledge. Most parents consider their children’s cogitative and communicative capacity to be below par. Meanwhile, mental capacity is partly dependent on how one makes choices and expresses opinions. On the other hand, parents’ cognitive processes are linked to competencies in knowledge and decision-making. In this regard, parents will tend to express conflicting views from those of children.
