Smoking in public places should be banned or not?
Smoking is very harmful to health. It affects nearly every organ of the body. Smoking causes problems not only for the smoker but also for the people around. In my opinion, smoking should definitely be prohibited in public places.
There are many convincing arguments in favor of a ban. Firstly, it will help with the health problems that occur. Smoking compromises the immune system, making smokers more vulnerable to respiratory infections. Smoking affects your bones, heart, blood vessels, vision and causes cancer. Also, people around smokers become vulnerable to the damaging effects of smoking by inhaling the harmful smoke exhaled by smokers. It is not fair to impose this upon another person. Smoking in public areas also tends to encourage children to take up the habit because children always want to try new things. Bar and restaurants should also adapt to the ban by keeping separate areas for smokers.
On the other hand, many people oppose the argument of such a ban for several reasons. Smokers state that this ban is against their individual freedom and passive smokers make their own choice to ...
