Introduction
This report documents the methodology and results of the development and visualization of the GIS data of a UF experimental farmland located southwest of Tampa, Florida. The output was then imported into ArcGIS Pro online and the link is included in here to allow members of the public to access and analyze the map in a bid to study and understand the phenomena in the farm land.
Methodology
The original data was an AutoCAD drawing and in order to make it compatible for use and manipulation in ArcGIS Pro, the layers were converted into a format that is compatible with ArcGIS Pro by opening arc catalog, creating a new geodatabase called ‘Gulf Coast Subdivision’ and then creating a feature dataset named ‘GC_subdivision_dataset’ in the in the geodatabase. Care was taken to ensure the coordinate system was NAD_1983_HARN_ StatePlane_Florida_West_FIPS_0902_Feet.
