Purpose
This experiment was carried out to thoroughly examine, research, and determine the efficacy of washing away and reducing the number of bacteria on our hands. Every day, our hands contact various surfaces without giving them a second thought. Using this experiment, we can learn more about the necessity of handwashing and how important it is for our overall health.
Introduction
Personal hygiene begins with washing one's hands. In terms of halting the transmission of germs and diseases, this is one of the most efficient methods. Handwashing is critical in the healthcare industry, and I know firsthand how it can prevent infection and keep patients well. The skin is the body's biggest organ. Many of its inhabitants, such as Staphylococcus aureus (a skin-dwelling bacteria), can be found in the nostrils and throat and are readily eaten, potentially making us quite sick if regular handwashing practices are not followed. Regarding how sterility adoption has affected healthcare institutions in terms of cost savings, conventional CDC estimates put the annual savings from adequate hand hygiene at over a billion dollars. The decline inappropriate hand hygiene in schools, universities, and workplaces might outweigh this estimate by a significant margin, even with the millions of days lost to viral diseases like the flu.
In 1996, the American Society of Microbiology (ASM) began to focus on the importance of adequate hand hygiene in organized activities. Several organizations, including the CDC, the American Society of Microbiology, and others, get funding from the Clean Hands Coalition each
