Sustainability of ground water Biological & Biomedical Lab Report (Lab Report Sample)
tASK: USING THE DATA PROVIDED, WRITE SCIENTIFIC PAPER THAT FOCUSES ON THE SUSTAINABILITY OF GROUND WATER.
THE SAMPLE IS ABOUT HUMAN IMPACTS ON THE SUSTAINABILITY OF GROUND WATER
Assignment: SCI203 Phase 1 Lab Report
Title: Human Impacts on the Sustainability of Groundwater
Part I: Data collected
Impact on Forest
plenty of groundwater
No movement of the ocean into groundwater
Lack of cities
Salt water intrusion pollutes groundwater
Farms are larger but fewer
Above -average growth of cities and industrial development
Significant increase in housing
A high percentage of ground water pollution by saltwater.
The Same number of farms but size reduced by 20%
Housing development declined by 10-15%
Part II: Lab report
The purpose of this lab is to look into the amount of groundwater and discover groundwater sustainability if human development remains the same.
Groundwater is water that has infiltrated the soil from rain or other precipitations and fills the gaps between sediments and openings in rocks and sand. An aquifer may contain groundwater. An aquifer is a mass of sediment saturated with water or permeable rocks. Hard water comprises a large number of dissolved mineral ions such as magnesium and calcium. Soft water contains little amount of mineral ions than hard water. We can use both soft and hard water. Environmental
