1. Research ethics
Research ethics refers to ethical issues on participants during a research study. Pager considered the ethical requirements in social sciences such as informed consent and respect for privacy. The consent of participants was obtained before participating in the research: ethical protocol in research. The participants got informed about the research, and that shows that they were aware of ongoing research, therefore, voluntarily participated in the study. Pager used employers to get information from employees and candidates who held a criminal record. The research, therefore, did not invade the privacy of participants.
